Honeymoon in the Bahamas!

Evan and I were able to spend the most AMAZING honeymoon in New York City and the Bahamas. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of pics to share but I'm an idiot and forgot to pack a battery charger for the camera so the entire trip it was on low battery :( We started at DFW for our flight to NYC.
Evan's second trip EVER on a plane. He loves it!
Once we got to New York we got on a taxi and went straight to Time Square. It was Memorial Day weekend so the typical New York crowd was about 50x worse... but Evan loved it. He's always wanted to go to NYC so these few days there were a dream come true to him.

Our first view of the city from the taxi!
We got to our hotel, rested for a few minutes and then went out to explore. As soon as we step out of the hotel we see Robin Williams across the street... no big deal. We ate at a little pizza shop and then hopped on one of the tour buses to go on a night route. Since we didn't have much time in the city we felt this would be the quickest way to see most of it. We went by a lot of great places!

Memorial day concert in Time Square

Our view of the city from Brooklyn.
After the tour we got on the subway and went to Ground Zero. It took us a while to find this little memorial but well worth it.

The next morning we woke up and went to our lovely boat, Carnival Miracle! We were lucky to get a room with a balcony, which we sat out on for hours each day!
Sailing away with the great view of the city
We had 2 fun days at sea (my favorite). We laid out for a while, ate lots of food, slept, ate some more food, went swimming, and then ate a lot more food... it was awesome.
Drink of the Day! (the only one we got)
Our first stop was in Grand Turk. It was kinda gloomy that day so we didn't really explore that much. Just went straight to the beach. If anyone has ever gone to Cozumel, this port is EXACTLY like... the shops are in the same place and everything.
Once we got to the beach it started pouring down rain so we went to Margaritaville!
You have to get a Margarita at Margaritaville!
The next stop was at Half Moon Cay! This was our favorite day! The weather was perfect, the water was beautiful, and we got to go on a little glass bottom boat!

Our final stop was in Nassau. We unexpectedly decided to do a private taxi tour when we got off the boat and went to the big market. We were kinda sad because their wasn't a beach anywhere close by to go to but we still had fun!
On our way back to NYC we had 2 more fun days at sea. We slept, ate, laid out, ate, ate more and ate some more. we love food.
One of our fun towel animals!
One of the things that I could not get Evan to stop talking or thinking about was the NBA Finals the whole... entire... trip. Finally, I gave in and we went to one of the bars to watch the game. ugh. The boat was even doing special Mav and Heat Cocktails so naturally we had to get the Mavs cocktail. Oh, and did I mention Evan HAD to wear a Mavs shirt... not only to the bar BUT each day they had a game. There was a total of 3 games during the entire cruise. He only had packed ONE shirt... you do the math.

Beautiful view from our balcony the last night of the cruise.
As we arrived back in NYC we sailed right by the Statue of Liberty!
We got off the boat REALLY fast. It was too early to check-in at our hotel so we walked around for a while. We did a lot of shopping for our nieces and nephew.
Rockefeller Center! Too bad there wasn't ice skating...

Yankees VS Red Sox
Finally, on our last night we fulfilled Evan's dream... Yankees game at Yankees Stadium! AND they were playing the Red Sox so it was a big deal! Sadly, the Yankees lost but Evan had an amazing time.
Overall, our trip was so wonderful! I'm sad it's over but really glad to be home. There's no way I could ever live in NY.
