Piggin' out!

Evan and I believe our true calling is to be food critics... doesn't everyone! For months we have been driving past a little cafe in Abilene called the Dixie Pig. Today, we finally decided that we would stop there to eat lunch and it was totally worth it!

It has the classic diner setting only it's decorated with pigs. It probably took us about 15 minutes (literally) to decide what we were going to eat. I settled with the chicken strips and Evan got the amazing PIG SANDWICH! He ate the whole thing in about 5 seconds and didn't want to eat anything afterward because he wanted to keep the sandwich taste in his mouth.

History Lesson: Come to find out the Dixie Pig started in 1931 and was rebuilt in 1941 into what it is today. (I read that on a plaque that was on the wall)
It is a tried and true diner with sweet waitresses and good home cookin'! We love it and can't wait to go back. Go eat there or you will be sorry!
