I love Lucy

If you didn't know it's Adopt A Shelter Dog Month. I have grown up with dogs all my life because my mom is a doggy lover but Evan didn't really have many dogs growing up. We have been wanting a dog for a long time so we finally got one a few weeks ago. Her name is Lucy and we absolutely love her to death!
It was a rough start for her because she had a skin infection, kennel cough (which takes weeks to get over), and the usual fleas and ticks. Overall, she just seemed depressed, she wouldn't eat anything, and slept all the time.
This is how she looked after we had her for one day...

Now, she has improved so much! She has started eating a whole lot, she chews on her bone that we got her, and she loves going on fun walks with Evan and I.

She is also a big cuddler and loves to sleep on her back. It's pretty cute!

She takes about 17 naps a day.

Like all dogs, she does not like her baths at all! And somehow Evan always seems to get just as wet as the dog does.

He loves her very much! Enough to pick up her... ummm.... well, stuff at the park. (Don't worry, he used a bag!)

She loves riding in the car too! The middle seat belongs to her. She just learned how to jump in the car so we were excited.

And she loves sleeping in the bed... Evan just can't say "no" sometimes.

Most importantly, she has brought so much joy in our lives. She is a wonderful doggy!
